Left over Easter Bark
Easter is crazy with the amount of chocolate that is left over. It's so easy to melt it and make chocolate bark with it. The egg itself is regular milk chocolate, why not customise it using biscuits, leftover mini eggs, sweets etc. or go something a tad healthier using nuts and dried fruit.
It's so easy that your kids can even get involved in it.
Ingredients:
- Leftover Easter eggs (the shell bit)
- Favourite biscuits
- Creme eggs
- Mini eggs
- Marshmallow
- Favourite sweets
- Nuts: almonds, peanuts, cashews, pistachios etc
- Dried fruit
Method:
- Melt the chocolate over a bain-marie or in a microwave, short bursts at a time and be sure to mix thoroughly, after each round.
- On parchment paper, spread the chocolate with a spoon. You don't want the bark to be too thin.
- Sprinkle on your toppings and chill in the refrigerator till its set.
- Break up into pieces and enjoy.
These also make great gifts; they can be customised to any theme or flavour.
